A History of Caring

Easy Living, Inc., was established in 1991 by Chuck and Dianna Smith.  Chuck served as the first executive director of Missouri Special Olympics and did so for more than two decades prior to creating Easy Living, Inc.  He was truly devoted to individuals with developmental disabilities, proven throughout a career of compassion spanning nearly 40 years.

Dianna has worked directly with individuals with developmental disabilities for over 30 years, and we have individuals today that she took care of or taught as children. Since the 1970’s, Dianna has been dedicated to creating a safe, caring, rich life for individuals with disabilities by providing a loving family environment.

A Tradition of Opportunity

Easy Living is about more than just helping individuals live their lives at home  it’s about opportunity!

We provide the opportunity for our individuals to experience everything possible through endless activities – ranging from a formal prom to educational experiences to cage diving with a shark in the Springfield Aquarium!

When we say “A Home Is Just a Beginning,” this is what we mean. A full life for our individuals requires more than just a home — it requires happiness, caring, relationships, and opportunities!
